Mushroom Photos
This page contains photos of mushrooms taken by SCMS members.
These mushroom photos are not intend as an identification guide for mushrooms. You should learn to collect fungi with the help of experienced collectors and a good field guide. A good field guide for the amateur mycologist is Mushrooms Demystified by David Arora. And if you live in the northwest a good local field guide is The New Savory Wild Mushroom by Margaret McKenny, Joseph F. Ammirati & Daniel E. Stuntz.
Instead of placing all the fungi in the alphabetical order, we are using Kit Scates chart for gilled fungi as a guideline. All non-gilled fungi are split up in a separate groups below the gilled fungi.
We also have a collection of mushroom photos on -----> Stamps of the World
